‘Race It Challenge’ For Children

A Camberley Church is hosting a free ‘Race It Challenge’ for dads, grandads, uncles and carers with their children, as part of its regular ‘who let the dads out’ event.

St Paul’s, Crawley Ridge in Camberley, are asking families to bring a plastic bottle with them to compete in the rocket racers challenge, and St Paul’s will provide the rest.

Adults can drop in and chill-out in a relaxed cafe style play area, read the newspapers and tuck in to unlimited bacon (and vegetarian) butties, tea and coffee. They also have the opportunity to join in with their children playing games, and our children’s staff will be available to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Sarah Hounslow, Children’s Worker at St Paul’s, Camberley, is responsible for the event. She says: “The who let the dads out is going to have a challenge this time. We are going to make rockets and race them and I’m sure there will be a bit of a competitive element. Games will still be out for the children to play with and as usual unlimited free bacon butties will be available for all. This is a great way to give mum a break whilst the guys chill and spend time with their children, and make it a fathers day weekend.”

The event is for under 12’s, and the fun and food starts at 9.00am until 11.00am on Saturday 16 June at St Paul’s, Crawley Ridge, Camberley, Surrey GU15 2AD. People are welcome to drop in at any time.
