Surrey Youth Games - Surrey HeathSurrey Heath is providing free coaching sessions for young people in no less than 13 different sports.

Those getting involved will then have the chance to be selected to represent Surrey Heath at the Surrey Youth Games, the county’s largest annual youth sports festival.

Coaching sessions will start next month and take place at various venues across the borough before the Games are held on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 June at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford.

The event will see nearly 2000 participants from the county’s 11 boroughs and districts competing, with the Surrey Heath squad determined to build on its impressive medal haul of six gold, three silver and two bronze from 2011.

Coaching on offer includes badminton, basketball, boxing, girls cricket, girls football, hockey, judo, netball, rugby, swimming and tennis.
